We are pleased with how we have started this GP. The Montmeló track tends to lack grip at the start of the weekend, but we anticipated this, and the team adjusted well throughout the day. Besides this, we are also seeing an improvement for both riders with the new aero package that we are riding with in Barcelona. We are happy for Álex that he got into Q2 at his home GP, which is where he should be. Had it not been for Fabio's crash, delays in the box, and the late yellow flags, we think Fabio had the pace and speed to also be inside the top 10. So, all in all, we seem to be in decent shape to make this a fun and competitive weekend. This evening and in tomorrow's FP2, the team will do everything they can to help our riders get ready for the qualifying sessions and the Sprint.
