It was frustrating to finish in P11, so close to Q2. We are only about 0.1s from P3 and 0.2s from Álex. In the test, Álex was also faster than me here, so we have to analyse why that is. My feeling here today was much better than during the private test ...

The flowing hills surrounding the Autodromo del Mugello were filled with the sound of revving engines today. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo made the most of the data they had gained previously at this track during a private test a fortnight ago. The teammates both showed great speed and pace, but only Rins went on to secure a place on the Q2 entry list, finishing the Practice in 2nd position.
