Gerno di Lesmo (Italy), 2nd July 2024
The Yamaha VR46 Master Camp programme will be back for its 13th edition from 6 - 13 August 2024. The training week will again be staged at Valentino Rossi's VR46 Motor Ranch and several other VR46 Rider Academy training locations.

Like last year's twelfth edition, the thirteenth is the only Master Camp scheduled for 2024. Yamaha and VR46 have therefore opted to make it a more intense version, adding extra training sessions.

The lucky six riders, Gonzalo Sanchez Melendez (age 15, Spain), Takumi Takahashi (age 16, Japan), Dorian Joulin (age 17, France), Aymon Bocanegra (age 13, Peru), Wahyu Nugroho (age 21, Indonesia), and Md Adam Haikal Bin Jahar (age 19, Malaysia), have been selected by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and get to attend the upcoming Yamaha VR46 Master Camp. A place to join this once-in-a-lifetime event can't be bought, nor can riders apply for a placement – riders are to be put forward by Yamaha distributors.

The Yamaha VR46 Master Camp training programme is especially intended to nurture talent. Racing and fitness professionals designed the Master Camp particularly with the aim to give young Yamaha stars a boost by enhancing their riding technique and overall professionalism.

To improve the 13th edition Master Camp recruits' skills, they will have a chance to ride at the VR46 Motor Ranch’s Flat Track on YZ250Fs and on its MX track for soft cross training on YZ125s. The selected youngsters will be riding at the Circuit di Pomposa on YZF-R3s, and at the mini Supermoto Jeepers Park on MiniGP YZ85 bikes. The students will be joined by some of their VR46 Riders Academy seniors for some personal coaching.

Besides riding, the protégés will also work out at the Fisio Gym and receive MotoGP eSport lessons from Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Lorenzo Daretti, aka Trastevere73.

The new students will be provided with new Yamaha VR46 Master Camp outfits for on and off-track wear (made possible by Oakley, Alpinestars, and VR46).

News, images, videos and updates from the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp will be posted regularly on the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team's social media channels and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team’s website throughout the training week:

"The Yamaha VR46 Master Camp programme will be back for its 13th edition from 6 - 13 August 2024. We continue to provide valuable opportunities for young riders with the aim of letting up-and-coming Yamaha talents experience the training system of the VR46 Riders Academy that can allow them to compete at the forefront of MotoGP.

"Once again, riders from Europe, Asia, and South America, mainly racing in the R3 championships, will participate in the training.

"We are putting more effort into the development of young riders. In addition to implementing these training programmes, Yamaha Motor has also launched the Yamaha FIM R3 bLU cRU World Cup and this year the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Asia-Pacific Championship.

"The Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team is now in its third year in the Moto2 World Championship, and it might inspire young riders around the world to redouble their efforts to improve their skills.
