Gerno di Lesmo (Italy), 24th September 2024
The 2024 MotoGP eSport Championship is set to kick off on 10th October with the first of three rounds of the Global Series. The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team are delighted to take this opportunity to announce the renewal of their contract with triple MotoGP eSport World Champion and triple MotoGP eSport Vice Champion Lorenzo Daretti, also known by his gamer tag Trastevere73 or Trast73.
Daretti has been Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's eRider of choice since 2019. He has been a consistent protagonist in the series and is seen as the man to beat.
Trastevere73 finished Vice Champion in 2019 and 2020, but he stood on the top step of the podium in 2021 after a brilliant performance in the live broadcast of the last round in Valencia. Although his 2022 challenge ended in disappointment, Daretti came back strong in 2023, claiming the Vice Champion Title for a third time.
Trast73 is determined to make 2024 his year again. The 25-year-old Italian passed the MotoGP eSport Pro Draft challenges with flying colours and positioned himself as a main contender in the upcoming Global Series competition.
The 2024 MotoGP eSport Global Series will count three rounds, held on 10th October, 7th November, and 22nd November. Like last year, each round will not only consist of two Races but will also include a Sprint.
During the 2024 Global Series, 73Trast's avatar will again have customised rider gear (leathers, boots, gloves, and helmet) matching that of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team to finish off the complete look. Moreover, Official Sponsors and Partners Monster Energy, NamedSport, BeSharp, Formula Medicine, Alpinestars, and Yamaha Home Audio will provide all the required gaming support.

My desire, my goal, my determination, and my dream are always the same as in 2019: I want to secure the MotoGP eSport Title. I am very grateful for this opportunity. This year will be a difficult year as the level rises every season, and I will have to give 110% to achieve my goal of bringing Yamaha back to the top.
This year there will be nine races: six are done from home and the last three are held live at the Milan Games Week. That will be a new experience, and it will certainly be beautiful and auspicious for the near future.
I can't wait to start!
